Australia is Multicultural is a community-led conversation about the people, cultures and experiences shaping Australia. It invites people to pull up a chair, share what being Australian means to them, and listen with curiosity to someone whose story is different from their own. OYO Studio led the creative concept, filmed the campaign and handled post-production.

The camping chair represents making space for one another. “Pull up a chair” is an invitation to listen, stay curious and connect across cultures and experiences. Belonging is built person by person, one conversation at a time.
The film brings the campaign to life through the voices of SSI staff and clients. It explores identity, belonging and the experiences that shape us, giving people a personal and accessible starting point for conversation.
The film premiered to multicultural and political leaders at the FECCA conference. A QR code leads to a campaign page where people can watch, sign up and join in with #AustraliaIsMulticultural, turning a launch moment into a conversation carried back into communities and organisations.
OYO Studio developed the creative concept, filmed the campaign and delivered post-production, shaping the lived experience of SSI staff and clients into a single, resonant film.
